An award winning artist, Elisabeth Gibson has been exhibiting for many years. She is an elected member of the Society of Canadian Painters in Watercolour and the Society of Canadian Artists, a signature member of the Toronto Watercolour Society, and active in other societies such as Arts Etobicoke, East Central Ontario Art Association, Central Ontario Art Association and the Etobicoke Art Group.
She studied with many outstanding Canadian and American artists including Anne Meredith Barry, John Bennett, Domenic de Stephano, John Hall, Guttorn Otto, Alex Powers, Stephanie Rayner, Carl Schaefer, Ernestine Tahedl and Frank Webb. She is currently represented by the Manse Gallery in Baysville and the Silverbridge Gallery in Bracebridge as well as in corporate and private collections in Canada an internationally.
Landscape fascinates her the most in painting: the expanse, the colour, the excitement of painting out of doors on location.
