“The only thing I ever wanted, is glorifying Creation in my painting.”
Audrey strives to formalize the human emotions – the raw energy – in relationships of creation and prohibitions thereof. Through her paintings she challenges the viewer to experience the light within and to come to a place of harmony and oneness. Her painting originates in her spirituality and is an expression of her Faith, which is “the mysterious and transcendent Source of all.”
Audrey was born and educated in The Netherlands and continues in the painterly tradition of Holland. While studying at the Dundas School of Arts in Ontario, she started developing her abstract expressionism into her painting. She has sold her work privately and it has been shown in Toronto galleries and in arts shows held in conjunction with the annual Toronto Arts Week. Audrey now lives in Naniamo on Vancouver Island.
