Susan Gosevitz, SCA

Susan Gosevitz, SCA is a painter of nature. She began her professional art career after graduating from the Toronto School of Art in 2009. Awarded the top painting prize to a graduating student she quickly garnered peer recognition when juried into The Society of Canadian Artists in 2010. Susan had always been a life-time painter mentored by Canadian Wildlife Artist Robert Bateman in her high school years. In 2012 she was awarded The Robert Bateman Award at The National Gallery in Ottawa.

Susan describes herself as a painter of nature and the natural world. Painting in both oils and acrylics, Susan uses her artistic talents to create images that are serene and calm. “ I see art as a collaboration with nature. Together we create the real and sublime in one, providing a return from hectic and stress, from consumption and chaos, to meditative simplicity.”

Susan finds her inspiration in the natural beauty found in Muskoka encompassing land, water and wildlife. Beautiful tranquil scenes awaken the senses and nourish the human spirit.

Susan’s work has been published and can be found in public and private collections. Commissions are welcomed.
