Roger Golden, SCA

Roger Golden's sculptures explore the human condition with candor and compassion. His sculptures are typically life sized, figurative, and narrative based. He works alone and entirely by hand using methods he devised himself, utilizing materials such as burlap, Winterstone (cement), resin, and encaustic. His work has appeared in four solo exhibitions, and in dozens of group shows.

In Canada, Roger is an elected member of juried organizations such as the Society of Canadian Artists and the Sculptors Society of Canada. Internationally, he is a member of the International Sculpture Center (New Jersey, US), and shows his works on the juried international sculpture site, Art Parks International (UK). He has won artistic merit awards from Castlegar SculptureWalk (2012) and the Sculptors Society of Canada (2009). In 2009 and again in 2011, he has been invited to participate in the Florence Biennale in Florence, Italy.
